Report a missed collection

If your brown general waste or green recycling bin wasn't collected on it's scheduled collection day you can report this to us.

If we don’t make it to you on your scheduled day, we may get there in the next day or two, however any waste can be taken to your nearest recycling centre for disposal or kept on your property until your next scheduled collection.

When to put your bin out

Please put your bin/bags on the kerbside by 6.30am on your collection day - but not before 6.30pm the night before.

Please return your bins/bags to within the property before midnight on the day of your collection.

Why was my bin not collected?

There could be a specific reason your bin has not been emptied, such as: Excessive weight, Contaminated recycling, wrong materials in the bin, or not at the boundary of your property ready for collection. It is the householder's responsibility to resolve this issue in time for the next scheduled collection. This is not treated as a missed collection, and you should take the waste to a recycling centre for disposal.

Only garden, recycling and waste put in bins provided by the Council will be collected, and only when presented in the right place on the day of collection for your household.

Containers are the property of the Council and should stay at the address they have been supplied to. Residents are responsible for their containers and must ensure they are kept on their property between collections.
